The imaginExtreme Barcelona has conquered the Parc del Fòrum with thousands of spectators, hundreds of riders and lots of excitement.

 

The female categories are consolidated in the eighth edition of the imaginExtreme Barcelona with about 100 riders.

 

The festival of action sports and urban culture in Barcelona has offered the best show accompanied by music, good weather and a great atmosphere.

The eighth edition of imaginExtreme Barcelona has once again demonstrated that the city is overturning with action sports. More than 20,000 people have passed through the Parc del Fòrum over the weekend to enjoy 15 different competitions, music, activities and above all a great atmosphere.

 

The scooter, the king of the day

The scooter is undoubtedly the most acclaimed modality by all attendees at the imaginExtreme Barcelona and this Sunday has refilled the stands of the Parc del Fòrum. For over 30 minutes the 12 best riders in the world have ridden the huge Central Park to fight for the world title that comes from the hand of the International Scooter Association. It has been a very tough battle for all who have participated. The british Dante Hutchinson has beaten by just one point to the world champion of the two previous editions, his compatriot Jordan Clark. Roomet Säälik has taken the bronze.

 

In addition, the imaginExtreme Barcelona has also hosted the MGP Park Battle, a competition in which only the rider who gets the best trick takes the belt of the triumph. Richard Zelinca with a flair whip drop from the top of the wallride was the best this 2017.

Women triumph in Barcelona

The imaginExtreme Barcelona has once again become one of the European action sports championships with more female participation. This year about 100 female riders have participated in inline park, inline cross, BMX and skateboarding.

 

The female BMX has offered a fantastic international high level show. The chilean Macarena Perez has taken the gold medal, ahead of venezuelan Katherine Diaz and closed the podium the russian Elizaveta Posadskikh.

 

In skateboarding, – test corresponding to the new championship Barcelona European Open – Candy Jacobs (Holland) has revalidated the victory that obtained in the last edition. The argentine rider Eugenia Ginepro finished second and the local rider Mar Barrera has climbed to the third step of the podium demonstrating the great potential that have the athletes of our country.

The last women’s event held this Sunday has been the longboard cross where Miriam Tena has crossed the finish line in first position. Behind them are Melina Altés and Victoria Mowbray.

 

A Central Park ideal for inline and BMX

The new commitment that imaginExtreme Barcelona has made this year with the creation of a Central Park of a much larger dimensions than in other editions has paid off. This year the inline park men and BMX men events have offered a show of the highest level.

 

In the final of BMX men, the argentine Jose Torres has obtained a valuable score of 92.00 and thus has been able to take the gold. Jeremy Malott, from the United States, has taken the silver and Daniel Dhers has finished third.

 

The french have been clear dominators of the masculine final of inline park. The three riders who have climbed the podium are French: Jeremy Melique 1st, Roman Abrate 2nd and Anthony Avella 3rd.

 

A fun cross track for riders and spectators

In the third imaginExtreme Barcelona venue, have carried out 3 modalities: longboard, inline cross and cross scooter.

 

In male inline cross the fastest to overcome the outline of the imaginExtreme Barcelona has been Florian Petitcollin, behind him has finished Yohan Foort and the third Lucien Hugues.

 

In the scooter cross scooter, which debuted last year, Dylan Morrison has been the fastest. Then Richard Zelinca and Hunter Schuetz crossed the finish line.

 

As for the men’s longboard cross Guille Salvà continues to dominate this modality. Nacho Muñoz and Dominik Kowalski were respectively second and third.

The Barcelona European Open has been released this June in the best way possible. BEO Park has hosted skateboarding competitions for junior, women and men.
